Divorce Care & DC4K
DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. It's a place where you can be around people to understand what you are feeling. It's a place where you can hear valuable information about ways to heal from the hurt of a divorce. DivorceCare meets at the Southeastern church building on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The DivorceCare for Kids program for elementary-aged children provides a safe, fun place where your children will learn to understand their feelings, express their emotions appropriately, discover a godly self-understanding, and develop stronger coping skills. Children are involved in a two hour program, that runs concurrently with DivorceCare (6:30 - 8:30 pm). Please call to register your child beforehand.
During the school year, you can come and enjoy dinner beforehand! A hot meal is served for a nominal donation (suggested $2 child, $3 adult). Our "Pit Stop" meal is served between 5:30-6:15 pm. To register, or for more information, please call the office, 352-9296.

Angel Food Ministries Helping Families Afford to Eat is Angel Food’s Goal
As family budgets tighten in tough economic times, Angel Food Ministries provides a cost-effective option to feed the family.
Southeastern Church of Christ, 6500 Southeastern Ave., is one of several Indianapolis-area Angel Food sites – and the only one on Indianapolis’ Southeast side – that provide boxed meals under the national nonprofit and nondenominational Angel Food organization.
The Angel Food program is especially appealing because “there are no restrictions or income levels” to participate, and people can order as many food boxes that they need and can afford.
One signature box, which cost $30, assists in feeding a family of four for about one week.
An example of the Angel Food Ministries signature box consists of meats, vegetables and dessert. The menu changes monthly.
A senior box cost $28 and consists of ten (10) individual meals fully-cooked—just heat and serve meals with dessert. The food is the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store.
The all new allergen free box, which cost $23, is processed to eliminate eight top allergens, great for adults and children.
A six (6) pound premium seafood variety box is now available for only $35.00.
We also offer specialty boxes such as an after school snack box, or assorted meat boxes and a fruit and veggie box.
Orders can be placed at Southeastern Church of Christ on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Payment is due when the order is placed and can be made with food stamps, cash, or money order. You can also use a debit or credit card at www.angelfoodministries.com.
The deadline to place a month’s order and the day of pickup varies each month at the church.
Legal Clinic
Legal assistance is available for low-income families (incomes at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines) on the first and third Thursday evenings of every month, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Southeastern partners with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic as an intake site for the southeast side of Indianapolis. Volunteer attorneys are available to provide advice on a variety of legal needs: landlord/tenant, guardianship, bankruptcy, SSI/SSD, consumer/debt issues, etc. Additional information is available by clicking the link to the NCLC website, or by calling the church office at 352-8753.
